Síndrome do Restaurante Chinês Online (Chinese Restaurant Syndrome)

 

¨ A síndrome é uma reação ao glutamato ingerido como MSG (glutamato monossódico), um agente flavorizante comumente usado na culinária chinesa. Ela ocorre dentro de 15 a 30 minutos da ingestão, e consiste de uma sensação de calor e aperto na face e no tórax anterior. Ela é ocasionalmente confundida com uma síndrome coronária aguda, mas é benigna e não requer terapia, exceto evitar alimentos cozidos com MSG¨
