Ascaridíase: Casos Clínicos (Ascariasis: Case Reports)

 

– Ascaridíase é a denominação da doença causada pelo parasita Ascaris lumbricoides. É uma das infecções helmínticas mais comuns em todo o mundo. A maioria dos pacientes com ascaridíase são assintomáticos. Usualmente este verme se instala na luz intestinal, porém em alguns casos, os vermes podem migrar para outros locais como ductos pancreáticos, ductos biliares, vesícula biliar e apêndice cecal podendo complicar com colangite, colecistite, abscesso hepático, pancreatite, apendicite. As complicações da ascaridíase incluem obstrução intestinal devido ao grande número de vermes, desnutrição, envolvimento hepatobiliar, que pode cursar com hepatomegalia e pancreatite. Em virtude do ciclo pulmonar da larva, alguns pacientes apresentam manifestações pulmonares, incluindo a síndrome de Löefler. O diagnóstico pode ocorrer por meio de visualização de larvas de Ascaris em secreções respiratórias ou aspirados gástricos, exame parasitológico de fezes e em alguns casos diagnóstico por imagem
