Hebiatria: Mednews III (Adolescent Medicine: Mednews III)

– A Hebiatria é uma especialidade médica voltada para os cuidados dos adolescentes.  O nome Hebiatria alude à Hebe, filha de Zeus e Hera, que era conhecida como a deusa da juventude. – Embora os pais possam participar das consultas, a atenção primordial é o adolescente.

– A adolescência é marcada por três alterações significativas: 1. perda do corpo infantil; 2. perda da identidade e papel infantis; e 3. mudança do tratamento dado pelos pais na infância.

-, Os adolescentes experimentam características típicas, como as oscilações de humor, vivência temporal singular, tendência de se reunir em grupos e sensações de invulnerabilidade e onipotência. Alguns podem adotar comportamentos de risco em relação à proteção nas relações sexuais e à experimentação de substâncias entorpecentes, com consequências nocivas à saúde física, mental e psicossocial.
