Síndrome de Stauffer Online (Stauffer´s Syndrome)

¨É descrita como síndrome paraneoplásica em um paciente com carcinoma de células renais, apresentando doença colestática na ausência de doença hepática subjacente. Em um caso clássico, um paciente com síndrome de Stauffer teria fosfatase alcalina elevada, GGT (gama-glutamil transferase), taxa de sedimentação de eritrócitos, globulina α-2, trombocitose e tempo prolongado de protrombina. O distúrbio da função hepática colestática é um resultado direto de uma síndrome paraneoplásica do tumor renal, e não de uma doença metastática, causando obstrução do fluxo biliar. O tratamento definitivo é a nefrectomia e o manejo sintomático da colestase no pré-operatório.¨
