Acatisia Online (Akathisia)

¨A acatisia induzida por antipsicóticos é um transtorno de movimento relacionado ao sistema motor e caracterizado por sensação subjetiva de inquietude interna, irritabilidade ou disforia que podem ser intensas. Associa-se à sensação física e objetiva de desassossego e a movimentos não discinéticos. Esse efeito adverso pode predispor à pobre adesão ao tratamento e, conseqüentemente, favorecer recaídas. Inquietude provocada pelo uso de antipsicóticos. Costuma ser descrita como uma sensação subjetiva de inquietação, que pode incluir ansiedade, andar de um lado para outro ou sentar-se/levantar-se com frequência. Mulheres na meia-idade apresentam maior risco. O período de tempo para o desenvolvimento da acatisia após a administração de antipsicóticos é de dias a semanas¨.
