A síndrome do túnel do tarso é caracterizada por dor, insensibilidade e parestesias na região plantar. O nervo tibial posterior é comprimido no retináculo flexor, posterior ao maléolo medial. A percussão sobre o nervo pode reproduzir os sintomas. As injeções de corticosteróides são úteis, mas devem ser aplicadas com cuidado. A descompressão cirúrgica pode ser necessária
