– Gangrena de Fournier ou fasceíte necrótica perineal – é uma doença que pode ser primária ou secundária a infecções que ocorrem perto do escroto. Dentre estes, destacam-se os urogenitais, coloproctológicos ou perineais, causados pela associação de bactérias que atuam em sinergismo, causando inicialmente a vasculite.
– A gangrena de Fournier é uma fasceíte necrosante sinérgica do períneo e da parede abdominal, que se origina no escroto e pênis nos homens e na vulva e virilha nas mulheres.
– Esta condição clínica é uma condição clínica grave, exigindo antibioticoterapia de amplo espectro, desbridamento cirúrgico e, às vezes, desvio de trânsito fecal e/ou urinário. A letalidade está relacionada à disseminação da infecção e atraso no tratamento.
